When Richard Miller was assigned to read the print Wall Street Journal earlier this year, he did what a lot of people trying to manage reading material do these days -- he traded online for print, then went looking for an RSS feed that would deliver headlines to his desktop and let him know when new stories posted. He could not find one, so he created one himself. Very soon 8,500 other people who were searching for news online had found his feed and were reading it too!

RSS Subscribers Worth More Than E-mail Subcribers
My metrics show that one RSS subscriber is worth about 15 to 20 email subscribers. Pretty sweet. My metrics also show that I add one RSS subscriber for every two email subscribers I could have added, at the worst. You do the math. I’m coming out ahead for sure.
